Ronald McDonald House Argentina
The mission of RMHC is to create, find, and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families.
Our vision is a world where all children have access to medical care and their families are supported and actively involved in their children’s care.
In 1998, the first Ronald McDonald House opened in Argentina. Since then, we have been able to support more than 260,000 families and children, through our 11 programs.
This is Alejo… he was born on January 11th 2012 and we received him and his family at the Ronald McDonald House in Buenos Aires for the first time in March of that same year, with just two months of life. He came from Chaco with his mother Rosana to undergo a complex medical treatment at the Hospital Italiano that lasted more than a year.
After nine years, Alejo still remembers the Playland and fondly keeps the toys that he received during his stay at the House of Buenos Aires.
The House meant for the family the greatest containment they could have at that time. They realized that they were not the only ones who went through difficult situations. “I believed that ours was the worst, it was a lesson and Alejo today is our life’s lesson. The House was our lifeline”, his mother tells us moved.
Today, Alejo continues growing strong. He is one of the many heroes who passed through the Ronald McDonald House in Argentina.
Your contribution is essential for us to accomplish our mission of keeping familes closed when they need it most.
